Allen Kenneth Sluzalo, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 80 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sarah Sluzalo; his brothers, Blaine Sluzalo ,Gary Sluzalo; and his brother-in-law Chuck Burwell.
Allen is survived by his partner Beulah Bailey: his children: Kenneth Sluzalo (Darolyn Elliott), Sandra Veer (James Dionne), and Jessi Sluzalo; grandchildren: Amanda Lee Cooper and her children Kieran and Evan Fenske, Brea Comerford; Jaret (Ana) Veer, Megan Newton (Tanner Case) and their daughter Gemma; his brothers Conrad (Shirley) and Eddie; sisters Jeanette Burwell and Carol (Bill) Buchkowski; along with nephews, nieces and friends.
Allen enjoyed many years of playing music around southern Saskatchewan. Over the years he played for many dances and worked with numerous musicians. He was a handy man of building and ran a business fixing shoes etc. He worked as a mail carrier and retired from 30 years at Canada Post. Allen had a great sense of humor and loved to tell a joke. He loved his family dearly and will be missed for his kind heart and dedication to his family.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Sharon Elliott officiating. Pallbearers were: Donald Struble, Gordon Lansdell, Lloyd Schmidt, Wally Roelfsema, Jaret Veer and James Dionne. Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK. Funeral luncheon followed at Know Fellowship Hall, 136 ~ 2nd Street, Weyburn, SK.
A Private Family Visitation was held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.
