Dorothy Ellen Whitell (nee: Maurer)

Dorothy Ellen Whitell (nee: Maurer) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 87 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dave and Dolly Maurer; brother Harvey Maurer; grandson Victor John Whitell, her in-laws, Fred and Lina Whitell; as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Dorothy is survived by her husband John Whitell; her children: Candace (Don) Brownridge, David (Carley) Whitell, Janice Phillips (Darcy). She will be missed greatly by her grandchildren: Em (Carmen) Ironstar, J.T. (Melissa) Phillips, Ryan (Allegra) Whitell; Noelle (Kory) McGuire; Kaylee Phillips (Tyler); Alexis Whitell; her beautiful great-granddaughters, Mila Phillips and Penny McGuire; sister Lynda (Bob) Weatherwax; sister-in-law Vivian O’Brien; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, her cousins and wonderful friends.

A Service of Remembrance was held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with funeral celebrant Judy Beck.  Urn Bearer was J.T. Phillips.  Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.  Luncheon followed at the Wheatland Senior Centre, 888 ~ 1st  Avenue, Weyburn, SK.
