Edith Kathaleen “Kathy” Trithart, was born on July 5, 1935 in Regina, SK and passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Kathy was predeceased by her father, Frank Hallam and her mother, Edith Hallam (Tyler).
Kathy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elmer; her two sons: Kevin (Kathy) and their family, Charlene and Rylan (Christie) and their son [Levi]; Kelly (Karen) and their sons: Luke and Cole.
Kathy lived in the Theodore, SK area before moving to the farm at the Grassdale area with her mother. She attended school at Rockfield School near the farm and then at the Weyburn Collegiate for high school. She earned her Teacher’s Certificate at Moose Jaw Teacher’s College. That is where she actually met future mothers of guys that became our friends that we met playing sports and going to school. She taught at the Summerberry school, where she met Elmer. They were married on July 5, 1957. They built a house in White City where they lived for several years and made lifelong friends. They lived in White City until 1966 when they moved to the farm where she grew up. Kevin was born in 1963. Kelly was born in 1967. Farm life and family life were her passions for the rest of her years. She loved animals and worked side by side with Elmer on the farm.
A Visitation was held on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 7:00 pm, from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 am, from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK and luncheon was held at Zion Lutheran Church. Honorary Pallbearers were Charlene Trithart, Cole Trithart and Levi Trithart. Pallbearers were Rylan Trithart, Luke Trithart, Allan Davey, Don Davey and Ryan Sidloski.
