Norma Jeanette Charlton

Norma Jeanette Charlton, late of Weyburn, SK passed away September 12, 2022 at the age of 94 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Blanche Evans; her husband Alec; in-laws, Matthew and Sarah Charlton; brothers, Gordon and her twin, Norman; sisters-in-law: Jean Evans, Jean (Ernie) Minogue, Gladys (Harold) Pretty, Isabel (John) Norman; and brother-in-law Lloyd (Ethel) Charlton.

Norma is survived by her children: Joan (Garry) Kruger and family: Erin (Charles) and family, Judd (Heather) and family; Garth (Marilyn) Charlton and family: Jeromy (Arden) and family, Jamie (Kristy) and family; Mary-Lynn Charlton (David Thornton) and family: Kate (Chase) and Halle; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Lois Evans; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Private Family Burial was held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK.  A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with funeral celebrant, Judy Beck.  Luncheon followed at Wheatland Senior Centre, 888 ~ 1st Avenue N.E., Weyburn, SK. 

Norma’s family would like to recognize the nursing staff at Tatagwa View in Weyburn, SK, especially those who cared for Norma in House 1. These House 1 nurses, over the years, but particularly those who cared for her in her final days, went above and beyond the call of duty.

Norma’s family will forever be grateful to these dedicated professionals who did their jobs with unmatched caring and compassion.

They really are “angels in comfortable shoes.”
