Shawna Frederick Obituary
Shawna Marie Frederick, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away April 20, 2020 at the age of 41 years.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Ed and Lynda Schleger and grandfather John Frederick.
Shawna is survived by her loving parents, Gary and Brenda Frederick, Weyburn, SK; her sister Melissa (Miles) McMillan, Moose Jaw, SK; special nephew Jake; special niece Hannah; her grandma Dorothy Frederick; special cousin Cory Olson; her godparents; Auntie Maryanne and Uncle Rene Olson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close family friends.
Shawna was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She had the biggest heart and would do anything to make a person smile or laugh. Words can't express the love she had for her family and friends, especially when it came to her nephew, Jake and her niece, Hannah. They were the light of her life, her biggest joy and she treated them as her own. Jake and Hannah absolutely adore and love their aunty so much, they will forever miss her.
Shawna was a true warrior! She was diagnosed 10 years ago with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She travelled this journey with positivity and courage, undergoing 57 different chemo treatments along the way. She never gave up hope and continued fighting until the end. Shawna is now pain free and will forever be our Guardian Angel.
A Celebration of Shawna's life was held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were: Nancy Chase, Michelle Crane, Jolene Roberts, Sarah Zielke, Rebecca Ness, Jaren Bell. Luncheoned followed at the Captain's Hall, Weyburn, SK.
